The symbolsof Sicilian identity are depicted on the crown. First and foremost is the Trinacriain Chrometech Gold, appearing on the right side in its classic form (with the head of Medusa at the center and the three legs symbolizing the alternation of past, present, and future) and on the left side in a stylized form, featuring the three whirlpools from which, according to legend, the island with its characteristic triangular shape emerged.

In the background are depictions of traditional majolica motifs, and on the left side are the Head of a Moor, the Temple of Agrigento, and the Greek Theater of Syracuse.

On the back is depicted Colapesce, the legendary fisherman who supports one of the three pillars on which, according to legend, the island rests. On the temples, two golden bands, one on each side, bear the inscription "Animus Tuus Dominus," the motto dating back to the Sicilian Vespers that celebrates independence of thought and the unique Sicilian spirit.
